COURSE OVERVIEW
This program is designed for baseline operations-level personnel across fire service and industry, including those who have never had formal awareness training. It builds that foundation first—then moves quickly into real-world application. Using transportation incidents, fixed facility events, everyday unknowns, and low-frequency/high-risk scenarios like WMD awareness, students work through how to recognize hazards early, interpret what’s in front of them, and make sound defensive decisions. The focus stays where it belongs: isolation, protection, and staying within the operational role—supported by the APIE process and grounded in how incidents actually unfold.
This course satisfies the following requirements: OSHA 1910.120(e) , OSHA 1910.120(q); NFPA 30, 45, 55, 400, 470, 472, 473, 704, 1072, 1991, 1994; ISO 17840-1:2022
