Engine Company Operations training prepares firefighters to execute the critical roles of an engine company during fire suppression, focusing on fireground tactics, size-up, riding assignments, and operational priorities for effective incident management. This program combines classroom instruction with hands-on evolutions covering hose line stretches and advancements, nozzle stream application, water delivery, and large stream operations, reinforcing coordination, communication, and safe fire attack techniques. Designed for flexibility, the course can be delivered as a foundational engine company training, advanced operations program, or customized to department-specific needs, including large diameter hose (LDH) deployment, “big water” operations, and targeted micro-training sessions to enhance engine company performance and fireground efficiency.
