COURSE OVERVIEW
The High Water Vehicle (HWV) - Operational Awareness Course - provides foundational training on the safe use and operation of High Water Vehicles (HWVs) in flood conditions. Topics include HWV types and capabilities, floodwater dynamics, required equipment, basic floodwater operations, victim engagement and interaction, rescue procedures, payload management, safety considerations, and operational best practices.
In addition to the classroom instruction, the instructor will conduct a review of the customer's High Water Vehicle, including vehicle-specific features, capabilities, limitations, and operational considerations.
Please note that this course is awareness-level training and does not include hands-on driving or operation of the High Water Vehicle.
