RULES OF AIR MANAGEMENT (ROAM)

ROAM training focuses on managing SCBA air supply and situational awareness so firefighters can recognize their operational limits and exit an IDLH environment before reaching critical air levels. The program emphasizes the principle that “ Air Equals Time ,” combining NFPA 1404–based instruction with drills that measure air consumption and reinforce disciplined air management during interior operations.

FIREFIGHTER SURVIVAL

20 Hours

Firefighter Survival training develops the self-rescue skills firefighters need to escape life-threatening situations such as entrapment, disorientation, or structural collapse. Through classroom instruction and hands-on scenarios, students practice techniques such as entanglement removal, wall breaching, bailout procedures, and Mayday communication while operating in full PPE and SCBA.

AIR CONSUMPTION RATE DRILL

Watch as students take part in an Air Consumption Rate Drill as part of the Firefighter Survival Program and in compliance with NFPA 1404 Standard for Fire Service Respiratory Protection Training.
